We are a firm of accountants based in Ipswich and we deal with all aspects of accountancy, taxation, business advice, payroll services, business systems, bookkeeping and company incorporation. At HSA Accountants we have a specialisation in dealing with small limited liability companies, with particular expertise in the Telecoms and IT Contractor field.
The firm was created following a management buyout of a previous practice. This business had been in
existence for approximately 30 years and had a long history of dealing with IT Contractors, business development and
general taxation and accountancy advice. There was also a specialisation in taxation as the original founders of the practice had been experts in that field.
Duncan Jay
Duncan has specific responsibility for taxation, IT and marketing. He was formerly a Tax Manager with Pope Batty Ltd with
additional responsibility for marketing and handling potential clients. He had been in this position since May 2000.
Previously, he was in a similar position with another practice dealing with the same type of clients, and had been there
since early 1991. His career in the field of taxation started in 1978, with the first eight years having been spent with
HM Revenue & Customs.
Paul Minns
Paul has specific responsibility in the firm for accounts, VAT, payroll and general practice matters. He was formerly an
Accounts Manager with Pope Batty Ltd with additional responsibility for client liaison and system implementation. He
had been with the practice since November 1999 and has a broad range of experience of general practice work with several
firms of accountants, since he first started his career in 1980.
